Now-Denial
Viva, Viva Threatening
Label: Sabotage
We are very happy to release the second Lp from these lovely rockers. The record brings 12 brand new harsh, pissed off hardcore songs. Soundwise the production of this record is much better and more '' in your face'' than on the first record, combined with a really nice 12 pages layout, this record is a killer and a must.
the now-denial started rehearsing in early 2001 and played first shows in the summer. first planned as a project of longtime friends christian, philipp, jens, soeren and hans to share the love for harsh, pissed off hardcore/ punk, it soon became clear that it had to be more. so they recorded for a benefit split 7" for the criminalized people of the genova protests against the g8 with their friends seein red. it came out early 2002 on tomte tumme tott. the many many shows they played had the result that hans quit due to time problems and his popstarcarreer. but the whole 5 piece recorded the first full-length "truth is on fire" in may 2002 on scorched earthpolicy/ flowerviolence/ damaged records that came out in fall. the now-denial continued as a 4 piece spreading their mixture of live-entertainment, political agenda and a big fuck you all around germany, holland, belgium and austria. the first bigger tour was in march/ april 2003 to france and spain with artimus pyle from okland/ california/ usa. right before the tour another benefit split 7" came out on tomte tumme tott records/ repulsive force (japan). this time with highscore and for the trial costs of people of the gothenburg protests against the european union.
the year 2003 has been the busiest for the band so far, because they went on tour in fall again. durango 95 was the partner in crime and they headed to greece, macedonia, bosnia, croatia and austria. after that the preparations for a second album started. tons of shows and a small tour with strike anywhere slowed down the process, but now, finally, the new album "viva viva threatening" is out on scorched earth policy and sabotage records. the now-denial is now working with a new second guitarist robin, who is hopefully ready to join the tractor-pulling deathmachine in november as a real 5. member.
